The Justice Vehicle Sticker Contest will soon begin! All 6th grade students are to create their own 8 x 10 drawing for the contest. Last year's theme was "Community Unity." Here are the previous year's winners from Brodnicki!
Attention 5th Grade Students!!!!
The Sertoma Heritage Poster Contest is coming soon! Once the posters arrive, students will be given one poster to color for the contest along with the contest details. 5th grade students will need to complete the poster for a homework grade. Failure to complete and turn in the poster will affect the student's grade.

What will students be doing in January?
Kindergarten will be starting their mid-year drawing assessments by creating a self portrait with shapes!
1st grade have completed their "Snowy Day" pictures and moving into gyotaku fish printing!
2nd grade will be finishing their "snowy night" snowmen, then creating a project inspired by the book "Van Gogh's Cat" The book was written and illustrated by 2nd grade students from Muncie, Indiana and has received awards.
3rd grade are finishing their hot chocolate mugs and beginning their seascape paintings.
4th grade will be starting their still life pictures. The students are learning about the element of value using highlights and shadows to show depth in an image.
5th grade will be working on their acrylic canvas paintings. Please remind your students that acrylic paint does not wash out of clothing, so be careful!.
6th grade are continuing ceramic faces inspired by Greek theater. The students were introduced to the history of theater in ancient Greece, and how masks were created to reflect the emotions of the characters. The next segment they will discuss in art history will be the medieval time period.
